April is national adopt-a-greyhound month. Believe it or not, over 7000 greyhounds are destroyed each year because they retire from racetracks and have nowhere to go.
They’re very gentle dogs and they’re easy to fall in love with. Many get along reasonably well with cats or other small dogs. And they don’t even necessarily need a lot of space to run around.
